1. Agreement to Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the Snorkel Chrome extension ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Service.

Snorkel is operated as a sole proprietorship ("Snorkel", "we", "us", or "our").

2. Description of Service

Snorkel is a Chrome browser extension that summarizes WhatsApp Web chat conversations using artificial intelligence. The Service allows you to select one or more WhatsApp chats, extract recent messages, and generate AI-powered summaries displayed in a browser side panel. The Service also transcribes voice messages to text as part of the summarization process.

No account registration is required.

3. Eligibility

You must meet the minimum age requirements set by the Chrome Web Store and WhatsApp to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service's infrastructure or backend systems
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Automate interactions with the Service beyond its intended use
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Service or its outputs

5. WhatsApp Disclaimer

Snorkel is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc. or WhatsApp LLC. The Service interacts with the WhatsApp Web interface, which may change at any time without notice. Such changes may temporarily or permanently affect the Service's functionality.

You are solely responsible for your compliance with WhatsApp's Terms of Service when using Snorkel. We do not guarantee that the use of Snorkel is permitted under WhatsApp's terms, and we are not liable for any consequences arising from your use of the Service in connection with WhatsApp.

6. AI-Generated Content

Summaries and transcriptions produced by the Service are generated by artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or errors. AI-generated summaries are not a substitute for reading the original messages.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content. You should not rely on summaries for critical decisions without verifying the original messages.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its code, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by Snorkel and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your chat content and any summaries generated from it.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with future versions of Chrome or WhatsApp Web.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Snorkel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed zero (0) dollars.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. We reserve the right to discontinue, modify, or suspend the Service at any time without prior notice.

Upon termination, your locally stored data (summaries, shortcuts, settings) remains on your device until you delete it.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of Israel.
